It's OK, I'd be grumpy too if I didn't own a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles poster.

Next sewing project

This

Plus this:

Makes it really easy to figure out that my next project is this dress:

I have no idea how it's going to turn out, but here's hoping that it's nice!
I have most of the pieces I need to start, so I'm thinking today or tomorrow I'll get going.
*excitement*

Princess Anna Skirt Decals

I painted the decals on my Anna skirt today. I'm rather pleased with the result.
As it turns out acrylic paint thinned with vinegar works well as fabric paint. To make it stick you must iron it once it's dry.  I used these as stencils.

The colours stand out better if you use white, and then go over it in colour.

Supplies,
knife, cutting board, stencil, acrylic paint, paint brush, and vinegar (:

 Finished!
Three hours of work.

A closer look at the paint....

Captain Frozen

I send Johanna this picture. And then she said Kristoff as the Falcon! And I was like oh yes.
So this happened.

Booyakasha.
Kristoff as the Falcon.

Annnd then this sort of happened:

 Captain Anna

So of course I had to draw Elsa as the Winter Soldier

And to complete the set I drew Hans as Brock Rumlow (that Hydra hit man dude).
Which seems to be a mistake, Has doesn't really look like Hans....
But it was fun anyways (:

An unfinished sewing project

I ran out of things I can do to this project five days after I started it. And since I have nothing else that needs doing, I thought 'where's the harm in blog posting?' My sewing project is.....

A princess Anna outfit!
I sewed the bodice from a pattern I made from a t-shirt, and the skirt is from scratch. I can't decide if I'm going to use iron-on transfers or fabric paint for the flower design on the skirt...
I know that the blouse isn't the right colour, I just threw on my only blue button-up shirt for effect. I'm hoping to find a blouse that is close to the right colour at Value Village this summer.
I tried to make the bodice a sweet-heart neckline, but as you can see that really did not work out well....
I got a crash-course in embroidery; it looks OK doesn't it?

You would think I would be able to find gold edging for the bodice, but apparently not. Mom and I went into every shop on mainstreet that might possibly have it. But all I came up with was yellow ribbon. As much as I love it, I can't get it to lay flat once it's sewn on to the bodice.

The question now is what am I going to do with three meters of yellow ribbon?

Just a Few Drawings

 Hello again!
Thought I'd post some drawings. Maybe I'll make this a regular thing.

 Princess Anna.
I found a tutorial for her head a shoulders, but I drew the rest.
(Graphite pencil)

 Used a picture reference.
Not 100% pleased with Anna's face,
but there is only so much I can do about it now :P
(Water colour and permanent marker)

Legolas selfie
(Quinne I totally stole your pose)
I was inspired by this.

I Sang a Song

I've heard this song a lot recently (haven't we all?), and I like it so I decided to sing it. So here we are. I'm actually pretty pleased with it.
(Yes the embedded SoundCloud thing is huge. Sorry.)
