It's OK, I'd be grumpy too if I didn't own a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles poster.

The part of the blog where Nicole shares Silly songs with Larry

Hey! So I've been listening to Veggie Tales Silly Songs lately. I had to post some of my favourites!

Pizza Angel

The Yodeling Veterinarian of the Alps

Endangered Love (Barbara Manatee)

 Lance the Turtle

 Larry's High Silk Hat

 Oh Santa

I just love Pizza Angel! I like the penguin from the Yodeling Vet from the Alps, and chorus from Barbra Manatee. Lance the Turtle makes me smile every time, "Lance the turtle, dance dance Lance!" The Silk hat is just pathetic, and all I can say for Oh Santa is
I'M A VIKING!!

What if I gave an Oreo to you?

Mom and I were talking about Oreos the other day because I showed her this (it's my new theme song by the way.) We found these chocolate cracker things at Kipa that are really good. We were discussing what we could do to them to make them Oreo like. Mom said we should try sandwiching them with whipped cream and making a log type cake. We thought it would be good so I made this:

It was SO good! I'd definitely make it again! I wrote out some directions for you if you want to try it for your self.

To make Cookie Log.

You will need:
-Whipped Cream (I don’t know how much whipped cream you’ll need, I used some that had some sort of thickening agent …)

-Sugar - about a teaspoon

-Vanilla - about a teaspoon

-Plain chocolate cookies *no icing!*  (I used 2 packages)

-Sprinkles (normally I’d say this was optional. But seriously, can sprinkles be optional???)

Directions
Whip the cream till it’s stiff; add sugar and vanilla to taste. Sandwich the whipped cream between two cookies and put on a plate so that the cookies are standing up. Alternating with the cookie and the whipped cream make the log as big as desired. Use the remaining whipped cream to cover the log. Cover it plastic wrap*, and put in the fridge for about 6 hours. Take out and sprinkle with sprinkles, serve cold.

We wanted to cookies to be soft like cake so I made it right after lunch. The cookies were softish when we ate it, around 8pm when Dad came home.

* To keep the plastic wrap from messing up the whipped cream I stuck little spoons in the log, I think toothpicks will also work.  :)

 Enjoy!

May Thunder Storms?

Mmmm... So we've all heard the saying 'April showers bring May flowers.' That's all well and good, but what do May thunder storms bring? I guess we'll find out sooner or later, yesterday two thunderheads rolled in. It thundered for a while and poured rain, you couldn't hear yourself think! It was neat, I like storms and rain. I snapped this picture out my window as it was starting to rain, I couldn't seem to get the power pole out of the shot. Oh well it's really neat anyways :)

Monthly (maybe) Resolutions: May

Play My Violin Everyday
I didn’t play my violin very much in the last few months, it’s high time to start up again.

Blog Twice a Week
I want to blog more, I just can’t think of interesting things to post.

Record Vocals/Violin Tracks
This is something that I’m starting to dive into, I have the technology so why not? If I decide to upload the tracks to Sound cloud I’ll put a link here.  :)

Read The Of Eagle The Ninth
This is a book that goes along with my study of the Middle Ages. I’m on chapter 3.

Make Another Episode of Entertaining Expeditions
This fell off my list, I starting finding sea creatures and my camera doesn't mix well with water.

Intro To Monthly Report Cards

I took my big fuzzy blanket off my bed. Forgive me for feeling like that’s some sort of accomplishment.
I like the monthly report card idea, if that is a foreign concept to you, you can see how this lady does it. I’m considering trying it, so I’ll be back with that soon. But for now I’ll leave you with this:
