It's OK, I'd be grumpy too if I didn't own a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles poster.

A Perfect Day For a Walk

I've been wanting to take pictures the past few days; but between the rain and my A.D.D. I never managed to get out my camera.
Today I was having a bad day for no real reason; and the weather wasn't really helping. Chilly and rainy, I mean, I love the rain, and wind but today was just ewwwwwwwww.
Anyways, I just wanted to go for a walk by myself and take some pictures. So as soon as I could I set out with my tripod and trusty Fujifilm.
By the time I got out side it was still overcast, but not raining (fist pump).
As usual I didn't have a plan, I just messed around got a few images that I like.
I thought I might as well share them (:

Here are two pictures I took at the market earlier in the day. Turns out I hate street photography, I think I'll stick with portraits from now on...

P.S. Almost two whole days without YouTube, and I'm not bored or going insane. Good!

Keep Calm and....

I ran across some "keep calm and carry on" poster generators, so I made a few posters.

That was fun.

Painting Dwarves

I'm doing an art study for school; I'm enjoying it so it's no real surprise that I feel inclined to paint.
A few days ago I decided to try to paint the movie poster for the Hobbit; you know, the one with all the dwarves on it.
Anyways, I found a picture and then zoomed in so I could  paint the dwarves. At one point I looked down and saw Thorin, and almost laughed out loud:
Well that was the creepyest thing I've seen all day!

All joking aside I ended up with this picture:
I'm very happy with it, I feel like I managed to paint 10 dwarves correctly; especially Bombur. The other three...Well let's focus on the positives, shall we?

The Desolation of Smaug is Hilarious

Soooo we watched the Desolation of Smaug again.

It was hilarious.

And then this happened and then it was hilarious x100

What do you think this is?

Sam and I were killing giant spiders in Mirkwood when I heard a funny crunching sound. We cleared the nest and then went to investigate. In the past I've heard that same crunching and then found a turtle, so naturally I assumed that that was what we'd find. That or a snake...
But I was wrong on  both counts, it was neither a turtle or a snake; looks kind of like a big hedgehog to me (or a breathing pincushion).
What do you think it is?

Reasons to Love Quest for Camelot

We all have our favourite movies/books/TV shows from our childhoods.
Quest for Camelot just happens to be my favourite movie from when I was…... OK, it’s still one of my favourites!

It’s definitely  not a movie you can take seriously, the script is a little flat, and animation is not first rate. But the sound track is sing-along-able and the characters are amusing.
We used to watch it at Grandma M's, I thought it was the best movie ever! (I also like it because it came out the year I was born.)It has all the elements of a great movie:
Great songs.

Action.

Romance.

Side kicks.

Crazy villain.

 And it's not Disney, huh.

Perfect for a rainy afternoon!

Family Photos

Here are some fun family portraits I took today.

Wow, so Germany

So the insurance company said that I needed a certain vaccine for my dog bite. A vaccine that is rare and very expensive; also it's not available in Turkey.
Painfully long story extremely short, Mom and I were evacuated to Munich, Germany to get the shot.
I did think it would be neat to visit Germany, but not for that reason!
I won't go into the details, because I don't feel like writing a 1,000 word blog post.
The quick and snappy version is we couldn't get the shots the day were were supposed to, so the insurance company changed our flights to Sunday, instead of Friday.
There was a lot of walking, and frustration, phone calls, and drinking fizzy water but in the end I got the shots I needed. We even made the doctor laugh!
After he finished injecting the first set Mom said "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger." And then she and I say together "except bears, bears kill you." (Which is a T-shirt) And the doctor kinda laughed and shook his head was like "Canadians, eh...."

I got the injections Friday so we had all of Saturday to explore Munich.
Prepare yourself for a ton of pictures. (All taken with Mom's Nikon compact or my iPod. I didn't bring my Fujifilm because we were only going to be gone 24 hours)
