Monthly Report Cards: Summer Bucket List 2015

It’s that time of year again! The time where I completely slack off and post a list that I hope to accomplish in 3 (or 4) months. I honestly don’t know what my internet/computer access is going to look like this summer, so this is actually the best option.

- Go camping (YEAH Stumpy)

- Have lots of photoshoots

-Make a video (we made scripts!)

- Have a dessert night (people have been sending me recipes)
- Learn  how to use a film camera

-Record some songs on the piano (acoustic beats electric every time)

- Vlog/video diary (I like making and editing videos : ) )

- Go to the Westerner (I’ve missed the fair, like 3 years in a row. Well that ends NOW)

- Go somewhere in costume (I’ve spent all this time working on them, what good are they if I don’t wear them?)
- Get my drivers license (finally…)
-Watch movies with Johanna (Big Hero 6 here I come!)

- Get some library books/ hang out at the library (I don’t know why, but the RDPL has a special place in my heart)
- Make brownies (Good cocoa *sigh*)

- Make nachos ( in a microwave!!)

- Get completely soaked in a river

- Get some bruises (I haven’t bled in weeks WEEKS I TELL YOU)

- Make cupcakes

- Try hair chalk

- Sleep sometimes

- Ride a horse

- Take pictures of the stars (when I go to bed really late at Stumpy I walk past that gap in the trees that overlooks the river. The stars are always so bright, this year I want to try and capture them)

I think that’s about it… I’m looking forward to all the things we have planned for this summer, but at the same time I’m a bit scared.

(Don’t ever pray for something exciting to happen, God heard me and the next day I got 16 stiches in my knee.) 

Goodbye 2014.... What?

2014 is drawing to a close, and I feel a little sad. All in all it was a crazy fun year. I made a list of some of the cool things I did this year. Because reasons. And I love lists :)

Things I did this year:

-Went to Norway (first time, gosh it was fun! Even in January)

-Went to Maker Faire (loved it!)

- Got bit by a dog 

- Had friends over (another first, Sarah, Quinne and Chantel came for a visit in April)

- Made a princess Anna costume 

- Bought a DSLR ( a Nikon D5100 *sigh of happiness*)

- Went home! 

- Went to my sister's graduation 

- Went Camping ( I love going to stumpy, by the end I was rather epic with a sword ;)

- Made cinnamon buns in a pie iron over the fire ( yummmmmmmm) 

- Got the biggest bruise in the history of my life (it covered a good portion of my thigh, and looked like the galaxy, purple, pink and blue all swirled together. )

- Had a great conversation about injuries 

- Got baptised :)

- Went to Artlife 

- Participated in a flash mob 

- Made a movie! (Er short film thing, adapted from a scene from a book. Link)

- Went to Saskatchewan (saw the tunnels of Moosejaw :)) one post another post

- Went to Drama Camp

- Threw an early birthday party (the first one since I turned 13) 

- Had a photo shoot in the library with my best friend (only one stranger stared, but I think she felt left out ) 

- Made an Elsa costume: lame pictures, cool pictures

- Turned 16 ---interview---

- Made an international music video with Quinne

- Met Johanna in Germany ---video---

- Climbed 280 stairs in a TINY church tower (THAT was fun)

- Made a Robin Young Justice costume 

- Started volunteering with the preschool class at an English school

- Visited the Mall of Istanbul and made a vlog 

I can't wait to see what 2015 brings :)

1. Make a Root beer float ✔

This was the first thing I accomplished! It was really tasty :)

2. Make a music video with my friends✔

Yes! I may post a link when Quinne's done editing it ;)

3. Go camping✔
Yes I'm so thankful that it worked out, we spent 10 days at Stumpy. 

4. Go to Drama Camp✔
It was so much fun! We did a play called Friday Knight Fever that was set in the 70s. Amazing what you can do in one week :D

5. See the movie Epic with friends✔
Didn't do this but we saw Despicable Me 2 (which was fun)

6. Take lots of pictures with my camera✔
Um, how does 1,600 sound?

7. Make brownies✔
And they were goooooood.

8. Run through the sprinkler✔✔
Yes! Fun fun fun!  

9. Stay up all night
Nope, And I'm glad I didn't!!

10. Have a bubble bath
Nope, don't think so.
11. Continue to blog✔
Yes! (Weren't you here for that?)

12. Go to the library✔
Yes! It was awesome, I love the library :D

13. Have a picnic
No :(

14. Have a meal where everything starts with the letter C

15. Make a vlog or two

No. 

16. Dance party!✔
Yeah, I think so. Maybe? I can't remember. 

17. Make a new friend✔✔✔
I made 3, Reef, Sarah, and Janelle :)

18. Talk like Yoda for 20 minuets straight
I keep on forgetting that I wanted to do this :P

19. Horseback riding✔✔
Yes! So awesome, I love riding :D

20. Sleep overs✔
Yes! They were fun :)

21. Write a song about Jello with Quinne
No, we made cupcakes, and watched High School Musical and made a music video instead.
 
22. Swing dance!✔✔
Yes!!!!!!!!! That was awesome, best evening :D

23. Draw with chalk✔✔
Yup:)

24. Make a collage

Yes! And I started my own dance troop!

Yes! One of my favourite things to do. (It's especially awesome on horseback)

I wrote a script, but we didn't get around to it. Too busy.

The first week we were home, got it first try :)

Got a pattern, no fabric. We can get some in Turkey

No, I slept in when I could :P

Yes pretty much every Wednesday, I fight as a Norman and they are awesome-er for it!
