Don't you just love February? 

Actually I don't. 

I hate it. 

For me, February is the month of slump, & meh.
The weather here is overcast, rainy and utterly crappy.
But strangely, February 2016 hasn't been like that.
It hasn't rained much (if at all) and it was sunny just this morning.
I made a quick costume this month, and I've been painting a lot. 

What would I like to accomplish this month? 

Finish another book

I've set a goal on Goodreads to read 50 books in 2016. So far I've read 8!

Record a cover
The last one I posted was around Christmas time...

Learn another tune by heart

I picked up my violin for the first time in forever (yesss let that song play in you head all day) back in January. I've been playing it pretty consistently recently, and I'd like to continue the upward trend.
(Of course, now that I've made it a goal it'll fall off my list.)

Find a Graduation dress

It's time to stop buying onesies, goldfish and art and actually get a dress...
It's gonna be fabulous ya'll!

Keep up with English and Math
For the first time in my life I'm doing tutored online courses, and I find it overwhelming.

Monthly Report Cards: January 2016 REPORT

I have thought about this post exactly five times. I don't know how I left it this long, we're already a month in to February! 

Finish my second X-Wing helmetI did do this! It has a FABULOUS paint job, but I screwed up the front. 

Do some figure studiesI was going to say that I didn't do this, but I did do a study of flamingos. That counts, right?

Keep my room liveable-y cleanYeeeeahhhh, pretty good. Fairly good. Fine. It's fine. 

Monthly Report Cards: January 2016 GOALS

It’s a week into January and I haven’t posted my goals yet, oh no!

Finish my second X-Wing helmet
I made one without a pattern and it was rather  very misshapen. It makes me laugh every time I put it on, it is so wonky. Round two is constructed with Pepakura, strengthened with papier-mâché, probably sanded and then painted. Wish me luck!

Do some figure studies
I got a GIANT sketch pad for Christmas, what better way to enjoy it than with some studies?

Keep my room liveable-y clean
I mean, I can live with a fair amount of mess, and to be a constant crafter I have to be.
However, there comes a point where I have to ask the dust bunny population to leave.

Monthly Report Cards: December 2015 REPORT

It's now 2016? Really? Okay...

Put the finishing touches on the Cinderella dress
I did not do this. I actually just took the dress off the mannequin and put it under my bed.

Put the finishing touches on the Monster Project 
HAHAHAHAHAHA yeah, no. I tried editing, but I really just need to give the project some space, think about other things. (In other news, the project turned one year old yesterday!)

Listen to lots of Christmas Music
I listened to some, and it was gooooood :)

Do a bunch of the things on my Christmas to do List

I did everything on my list! That's pretty great, I think I have a perfect (nearly perfect) record with completing the things on the lists I make. 

Okay, so I pretty much failed this month. That's okay I guess, maybe I'll manage next month better.

Monthly Report Cards: December 2015 : GOALS

It's December, that means my sister's birthday, Christmas,  & New Years Eve.
 Let the holidays begin!

(Especially making eggnog and brownies. Very Important)

Monthly Report Cards: November 2015 : REPORT

I only had one goal this month, and I'm proud to say that I completed it with flying colours. My Monster Project now has 50,000 words!! I feel like it’s mostly done now, all it needs is some tweaking in places and a careful round or two of Spell Check ;)

Though I was editing and not technically doing NaNoWriMo I made my self a certificate anyways. The story I have now is extremely different from the one I had in June, so I think I'm justified! I'll be back in a snap with some goals for December.

It's November already! This month I only have one goal, and that is:

Finish editing my Monster Project 
November is Na No Wri Mo month, so I'm buckling down to get version 8.5 under my belt. This will take a lot of effort as I'm tweaking the plot as well as fixing 44,900 words.

Monthly Report Card: May 2015 GOALS

Wooooooo! It’s FINALLY May! I’ve been feeling like it was May for the past month. Now it’s finally heeerrreee! May means hot weather, swimming, sour green plums, and lots and lots of neighbours O.o

This has been going really well, I haven’t missed a day in almost two weeks! We’ll see how long I can keep this up :P

April was a great month, finally some nice weather and TURTLES!

Finish Hiccup’s armour

I spent a huge amount of time on this project this month. I am pleased to say that I got a lot done (like the entire upper half). I’ll give myself an A+ for this one.

Practice gesture drawing
I thought that this would be a big thing for me, but after I wrote this post I never gave it a second thought. I’ve been busy this month doing…. Something.

Once again, never thought about it again.

Heyyy 1/3 is okay ish, right? Oh well, I did a bunch of other fun things instead. For instance: For the last week or so I’ve been uploading daily to my Flickr. In spite of my 365 challenge (take a picture everyday) this is the first time I’ve managed to do it.

You know what happens this month? Turtles start to come ouuuuuut and the weather gets warmer (though not so far).

Get Hiccup’s armour finished
It’s going pretty well, although, I did a stupid and messed up the paint job. Seal with glue before you paint, kids!

That is virtually all I really want to do… I tend to obsess over a project until I make an irreparable mistake or I finish. If I were to run out of things to do I might...

Monthly Report Cards: March 2015 Goals

It's a great day, the sun is shining, the tank is clean.

THE TANK IS CLEAN.

But I digress.

I’m very pleased that it’s March, but at the same time, in the back of my mind I’m saying,
“Really?! MARCH? Didn’t we just get here, like a month ago?”

But that’s not to say that I’m not looking forward to this summer. I’m just trying not to get *too* excited yet :P

Okay on to goals for this month:

Write more than two blog posts
I was shocked to log in the 26^th of February to find that my latest post was goals for that month. I think I’m letting this whole blogging this slide just a little. I’m going to try to get back into the swing o’ things this month.

Work on my water colours
 I finally got some watercolour paper. Only trouble is, I’m not as good at it as I’d like to be.

Spend lots of time outside
It’s been cold. But now that it’s not I don’t really have an excuse (except that there is nothing to do outside :P )

Sew a cover for my dress form.

Not sure I’ve mentioned it, but I finally got a dress form made. I’d like to try my hand at making a cover for it.

Monthly Report Cards: (January) 2015 GOALS

Haha look at me almost a week in January and no plans for what I'd like to accomplish this month. Since it is the first week month of the year I guess I'll include some long-term goals.

Goals for the Month:

Finish Johanna's Smaug dress
Just have to add a few more scales to the bodice and then I'm done. The head dress and the wings can wait. :)

Clean up my room
There are three separate areas that could use some attention. (ie the computer desk, my shelf and under my bed (ewwww)) plus I guess the floor could be washed and the spiders vacuumed....

2015 Goals 

Read 100 books
My average for the past two school years has been about 50. 

Play a musical instrument at least once every week
What can I say? I've caught the music bug again.

Make a Friend

Make another cosplay

I’m thinking a fem! Hiccup from HTTYD2 (though the movie is not as good as the first one!).  I’ve been wanting to try my hand at foam armor for a while now. This might just be perfect ;)

I haven't really spent a lot of time thinking about this (maybe it's obvious?). These are all off the top of my head. I may add things as I go.
Or I might not.

Monthly Report Cards: November 2014 REPORT

Yay! The thrilling month of December, we have two big birthdays to look forward to this month. One for my big sista, and one of course for Jesus. :)

Document my trip to Germany
I think I did a pretty good job on this. I have tons of pictures, (shall I post some of them?) and I took some video, which I am in the process of attempting to upload (youtube is NOT cooperating.)

Film another music video
Hahhahahahaha funny. We are so lazy, I thought about it several times, but there always seems to be other things to do.

Take a break from writing
Yup yep completely *high fives all around* I might actually feel like writing again.
Maybe.

Draw
Yes! I even coloured a comic in photoshop! It's so much stinking work but digital drawings look so snazzy.
